Yep mine yellowed too. But you are 100% correct it's well worth the sound!! And it can be heard from a pretty good distance. I love the Jardine, I've read many postings about the Supertrapp and I have had the chance to hear a Savage with one and I have to say the Jardine is hands down the better looking and sounding of the two. It just looks as though it was designed just for the Savage(maybe it was who knows?).
